Sharon Architects is one of the oldest architectural design firms in Israel. Since it was founded 75 years ago, it has specialized in the design of public buildings in Israel and overseas, which include conference centers, medical centers, universities, residential neighborhoods and residential towers, retirement homes, schools, libraries, museums, movie theaters, hotels, outline plans and cultural buildings. The firm also specializes in interior design, artistic design and environmental development projects.
The firm currently employs a staff of thirty-five world class urban planners, architects, interior designers and engineering technicians. The firm is managed by architect Arad Sharon, a graduate of the A.A. School of Architecture in London. He is the third generation of his family to manage the firm (since 1994), after his grandfather, company founder the late Arieh Sharon (who was a Bauhaus graduate & won the Israeli prize for Architecture), and his father, the late Eldar Sharon (who died in 1994 and has been the founder of the Israeli avant-garde in Architecture), who joined the firm as a partner in the 1960s. 
Architect Sharon Gur-Ze’ev, M.Arch “The Berlage institute” graduate, joined the firm as a partner in 2010. Sharon is involved in the managing the firm and in designing processes. She has introduced parametric design software to the company’s work methods. Specializing in associative design and manufacturing, Sharon also teaches in “Shenkar College of engineering and design”.
The firm is the leader in the design of medical buildings in Israel, and is involved in the planning and design of new buildings as well as the renovation and redesign of existing structures in the following medical centers: Tel Aviv (Souraski) Medical Center, Rabin (Beilinson) Medical Center, Soroka Medical Center, Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, Tel-Hashomer Medical Center, Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Assaf Harofe Medical Center, Wolfson Medical Center, Assouta Medical Center, Geha Hospital, Nazareth Hospital and a hospital in Um-el-Facham.
The uniqueness of the firm lies in its ability to instill contemporary content in functional maintenance systems. A unique architectural solution focusing on man and his needs is devised for every project, with emphasis on meeting timetables, a high level of performance and staying within the budget framework.
Special emphasis is also placed on harmonizing the buildings with the surroundings by using architectural elements and finishing materials suitable for the local climate and combining advanced technologies. These critical aspects are examined using computer-generated three-dimensional models, simulations, and films, which assist in the design and help the client, visualize the buildings.
The team of planners keeps abreast of innovations, actively participates in advanced training and international conferences, and constitutes an integral part of various steering committees on behalf of government ministries.
Recently, the firm was awarded a tender to design two big hospitals in India. It also won a competition for the design of the Ruth Rappaport Children's Hospital to be built at Rambam Medical Center, including a parking lot for 1,500 cars and a 650-bed emergency care hospital covering an area of some 60,000 SQM.
We are currently working on the design of the 50,000 SQM Cardiology Tower at the Tel-Aviv (Ichilov) Medical Center (with a budget of about $220 million). A 650-bed emergency care hospital is planned to be built under the building; A 60,000 SQM new 250 beds hospitalization tower in Maaynei-Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei-Brak
We employ a special team that works with government authorities and is responsible for obtaining building permits for all our projects.
